Referring is the wrong deal if you run the work yourself. Buy at the published rate, charge your client what the work is worth, and keep the relationship.

What one referral is actually worth

Most programs pay you for twelve months and only on the subscription. This one pays for the life of the account, on everything that account spends with us.

Covers 1 to 5 locations with 15,000 monthly credits included.

$200

Credits are bought in blocks at $10 per 1,000. A Starter account running all five locations hard tends to top up around this much.

Your commission is not stuck at the plan price

Every plan comes with a monthly pool of AI credits. Credits are what the platform actually runs on, and they cover more than people expect.

Agent work draws on them. Listing corrections, drafted review replies, location posts, AI visibility checks.
So does everything else. Extra grid-rank keywords and additional domains come out of the same balance instead of a separate invoice.
Heavy months cost more. Think fuel economy rather than an allowance. Top-ups are $10 per 1,000 credits.

Which is the part worth understanding. A business that leans on the agent harder pays us more that month, and your commission moves with it. You did the work once.

Same client, same Pro plan, 30% tier
Quiet month, no top-up$149.70/mo
Busy month, 15,000 extra credits$194.70/mo
Peak season, 30,000 extra credits$239.70/mo
Nothing about the plan changed. The agent just worked harder.

The rates are published. So is how you move up.

AI spend is the fastest-growing line in local marketing budgets, and the ladder is built so you share in it. When you reach the next tier, the new rate applies to your whole book, not only to referrals you send afterwards.

Affiliate 30% recurring

Where everyone starts once the application is approved. Paid on the full amount each referred account spends, for as long as it keeps paying.

Ambassador 50% recurring

The top rate, by invitation. For partners whose reach makes them a channel of their own, with flat fees and content budgets negotiated on top.

What counts, and what does not

Worth reading before you apply rather than after. There is nothing buried here.

Counts

A business new to Synup that signs up through your link and starts paying.
Clicks are attributed for 90 days, so a reader who thinks about it for a month still counts as yours.
Everything the account pays us, subscription and credit top-ups alike.
An honest review, whatever it concludes, published on a site or channel you control.

Does not count

Your own account, or a business you own or control. Same for accounts already talking to our sales team.
Coupon, cashback and deal aggregator traffic, and paid search on our brand terms.
Reviews posted to Google, app stores or third-party review sites. Those platforms prohibit paid reviews and we will not ask you to break their rules.
Refunded or charged-back payments. Commission on those is reversed within 60 days.

Questions

What does "lifetime" actually mean?

For as long as the account you referred keeps paying us. If they stay eleven years, you get paid for eleven years. If they cancel in month four, payments stop in month four. We can change rates for future referrals with 30 days' notice, and accounts you have already referred keep the rate they were signed at.

What does my audience get for using my link?

Double the standard trial credits. A business that signs up through an affiliate link starts with twice the included usage, which gives your readers a real reason to use your link instead of finding us later on their own.

I want to review the product properly. How do I get access?

Approved reviewers get a Starter workspace for 60 days, up to five locations, with credits included. Run it on your own business or a client's with their permission. A fortnight is not long enough to judge an agent, which is why we do not just hand you a trial and hope.

Does the review have to be positive?

No, and we would rather it were not if that is not what you found. We pay for the work of reviewing, not for a verdict. We do not get approval over the copy, we only check that it was published where you said it would be.

Can agencies join?

Yes, though the affiliate program is probably not your best deal. If you manage clients' marketing yourself, you are better off buying at the published rate and charging your client what the work is worth. Refer the businesses you are not going to manage, resell to the ones you are.

Why is commission paid on AI credits too?

Because credits are a real part of what a customer spends, and leaving them out would mean quoting you a number that has little to do with the account's actual value. It also means your payment grows as the client grows, without you doing anything further.

When and how do I get paid?

Monthly, once your balance clears the minimum, through our partner portal. Bank transfer or PayPal, in your local currency, with tax documentation handled in the portal rather than by email.

Is there any exclusivity?

None. Promote whatever else you like, including products that compete with us. We would rather be recommended by someone with a real opinion than by someone contractually obliged to say nice things.
