Top 24 Birdeye Alternatives

Benjamin Franklin once said, “It takes many good deeds to build a reputation, and only one bad one to lose it”. While this is true in the most literal sense, it applies to your business’s online reputation.

This is where review management software like Birdeye comes into the picture.

With providing services like review management and customer experience management for local businesses and brands, Birdeye has been a preferred choice for most local businesses out there.

But is it worth the hype that it garners? We don’t think so!

Here’s why:

❌It’s costlier as compared to its other competitors that usually provide similar or better features.

❌Birdeye doesn’t make use of its own technology, especially when it comes to API management.

❌Their customer support is not as great. With a lot of people unable to find the right kind of solutions at the right time, it is really difficult to look at a long-term solution for managing one’s online reputation.

❌Another major drawback is the 12-month contractual commitment, which can get restrictive for businesses looking to explore any other software for their business needs.

❌As per the price they charge, the features they offer are limited and one might need to look for other platforms along with Birdeye to meet their organizational needs and goals.

Therefore, looking for Birdeye alternatives might just be the right move.

Here are some things we are taking into consideration while listing these alternatives:

  1. Features - The kind of features that these software provide, are they packed with some cool features that can come in handy, do you require them for your organizational or client needs and contemplating over whether are they worth the price?
  1. Benefits - All software has benefits they provide, some great and some not so great. So while we are looking at various software and their alternatives - understanding their benefits would just help you speed up your decision-making.
  1. Cost-effectiveness - While choosing a particular software, we must take into consideration our budget, the software’s cost-effectiveness, and the various features it can provide in today’s competitive local SEO market as compared to its competitors.
  1. Customer Support Quality - It’s necessary to have top-notch customer service! Because who are we going to turn to when something goes wrong? The customer service also has to be quick, helpful, willing to help and resolve your issues, and friendly at the same time.
  1. Pricing - We’ll also check various pricing options each software has to offer to understand if it is priced fair and square.
  1. Reviews - Reviews, as we all know are really important when it comes to choosing something from the lot - because ultimately, we need to understand whether other businesses had a good experience with the software, and were there any shortcomings that we should be aware of or any features that truly stand out from the rest.

So let’s dive in!

Dislikes

“The support team is atrocious, it: a) doesn't respond on time, b) doesn't do what you ask them to, c) will provide conflicting information in the same ticket, d) give totally inconsistent responses as to whether they can do something. Communication is quick and easy for us AND the customer, which enables both parties to keep the other informed. The review integration is wonderful also: we've received more review traffic in the month since implementing Podium than we had been in a typical year or longer previously. The system makes it easy for the customer to leave their review without a bunch of extra login steps.”

Likes:

“Demandhub has some really useful features all in one place rather than having multiple for a business. We really like the capability to see all incoming messages from our social media, website, and client messages all in one place. As well as out client review messages and reminders being automatic.”

Dislikes:

“Sometimes the interface can be glitchy. We have it set up so that incoming messages come up as desktop notifications. Sometimes there is a huge delay in when the message has come in and when we are notified. We also find that we often have to refresh the page to see new messages. I don't like that the templates have changed into alphabetical order. It would be much easier and quicker to have them listed in the order of most used.”

Cons

❌More features can be added and currently the software offers very limited features

❌Glitchy at times and might require one to manually do the things

Priced at 75$ Per Month

Likes:

“Nice job taking care of all my online reviews. When I'm done a job in my CRM, it automatically starts a client review drip campaign. These things really work as well. In addition to that it also starts a campaign for a client referral. A new feature that I really love is the Client gift feature. I have it set so that if a client has used us three times or more they get their choice of some cookies or candy sent directly to them. All of this is done without me lifting a finger.”

Dislikes:

“I do wish the invites that go out to the customers were mapped out a little better, in advising them that they must click on the particular platform they want the review to appear on. So, because of that many of them only do a NiceJob review, thinking that it will appear on Google, BBB, and Facebook, then having to call them back to ask them to re-due it usually ends in them not leaving a review at all.”

It has a lot of bells and whistles so it's good to have this support, but it's also very easy to use once you know the basics.”

Dislikes:

“There isn't anything to dislike. There are a few features still missing that I am looking forward to in the next upgrade, like being able to combine locations for an aggregate review widget when using the tag manager for selective display. But this is a very minor detail in an otherwise great product.”

This is very rare in founders these days and I have full fate in their ability to create the best reputation management platform and help agencies utilize it. The founder's words and promise it will also soon be able to integrate easily with more review platforms than any other software.”

“The plan is a great value with a ton of clients to manage. The white label feature allows us to generalize it and use it across the brands we manage.”

Dislikes:

“The team is blazing through an aggressive dev roadmap (sweet)... but as such, the documentation for new feature sets is running behind (so it's a good thing their support is spot on).”

“Our company manages over 3,000 profiles for online business listings across Google, Facebook, Healthgrades, and more. Reputation allows us to keep our information accurate and up to date for these profiles through their extensive database. Their platform allows us to manage and respond to multiple reviews per week from our business listings which is an integral part of improving our patient experience.”

Dislikes:

“We've been pleased with the platform so far, and any limitations we encounter are usually due to budget constraints. We are always seeking to better serve our patients, and integrations with Yelp and TikTok would be beneficial, though we understand their partnership opportunities are limited.”

“We started using ReviewShake around 3 years ago to replace our old provider, Grade US. We wanted a solution that was more cost-effective with all the same features. ReviewShake gave us this and more. The feature I like the most is the white labeling. We have now rebranded the platform as our own and a specialized solution to the niche that we serve.”

Dislikes:

“The need to use Zapier instead of having internal integration functionality to bring customer data in without the need for additional software. The other downside would be the limited options for landing page customization regarding the review buttons. I would love to use my own positive and negative icons for someone to click on. Lastly, deeper analytics on the clickthrough rates would be fantastic, and the ability to have a private feedback dashboard to keep track of private feedback that was received.”

“I love that it pulls all of our reviews into one easy-to-manage dashboard. I also like that it gives us a solid analytic resource for our gains and setbacks. The BIGGEST win is the surveys that we use when clients check out. We can set a threshold to ask if they would like to share on social channels if their rating is above a rating we determine. And even better, we can select which sites to ask to push to, which has been immensely helpful for us to focus on increasing our ratings on specific sites so we have a better overall rating!”

Dislikes:

“It took a little longer for our old Yelp reviews to appear in the dashboard which caused a minor issue with accuracy when pulling a year-over-year report. We did start to receive new Yelp reviews right away and the old ones were pulled in shortly after coming on board.”

“I love how simple it is to connect each of my clients' accounts to ReviewPush so that the software can begin monitoring reviews on those pages. I also love how they send me a daily email that has collected each of the reviews received by my clients and organizes the reviews according to the platform they were received on (Google, Yelp, Facebook, etc).”

Dislikes:

“1- reports are so low res they can't be printed. 2- we had to do a lot of "workaround" to get them to push reviews to certain areas and link directly to the review page and not just a general G+ page. 3-- Some problems weren't resolved promptly ---I don't think this company is as large or has as many resources as I thought. Customer service was polite and nice enough, but I just don't see why some of these things were implemented from the get-go.”
